Of course, it was the egg salad sandwiches which broke the Light Brigade at Balaclava

The horses couldn’t see the yolk in it though

The surface danger zone for sandwiches really depends on the ingredients tbh. An Italian sub, for example, has a high frag rate because of the bread consistency but better aerodynamic range, while a croque monsieur and the Rueben have less range but more splatter.
It's not in this article but the government asserts that the sandwich was thrown at "point blank range", which implies subway sandwiches have defined effective weapon ranges of varying lethality, and I would like to see the government's chart of these ranges.

It has a lot of promise. Rory Stewart's book is good, but probably doesn't travel as well.

Online library loans are a bit limited in choice, but they do enable me to put holds on things that'll never turn up... Basically a book shopping list.
I still have a bunch of physical books to catch up on, but everything's been packed away whilst chaotic building work goes on

Several people I follow are following this... And apparently I'm the only person who looks and goes does this seem plausible...
It is really weird, until like 5 years ago there was nothing online & outside of a few weird forums where people swapped chow chow recipes I thought it was a figment of my imagination.. now I can get a BBC article on it!
Everywhere else seems to think it's a battered Oyster or fish.

I remember these being dirt cheap, delicious (& about three of four times the size of what I would've had for lunch normally)

Have you ever wondered what the flight computer of the Scorpio was in #Blake7?

But the ones I long for are from when I was working in Dallas, an Antoine's Po' boy which apparently is diametrically opposite to what every other American venue calls a po boy
