Trump disagreed with Netanyahu about an starvation occurring in Gaza. “Based on television, I would say not particularly because those children look very hungry. There is real starvation. You can’t fake that,” Trump said. According to Axios, Trump and his aides admit that the strategy in Gaza has failed but they haven’t decided how to change it yet. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche met with Ghislaine Maxwell today, July 24, at a federal courthouse in Tallahassee, Florida. Maxwell is serving a 20 year prison sentence for sex trafficking underage girls as part of Jeffrey Epstein’s network. The meeting was arranged by Blanche himself, making it highly unusual for such a senior Justice Department official to meet directly with a convicted criminal. Sources say the DOJ is exploring whether Maxwell is willing to share new information about Epstein’s associates, including powerful political and business figures. Maxwell was found guilty of sex trafficking and related crimes and was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022. #doi #trump #epstein

Speaker Mike Johnson abruptly ended the House session days early, sending lawmakers home for August recess to avoid a vote on releasing the Jeffrey Epstein files. Earlier this week, a bipartisan group of lawmakers, led by Reps. Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna, pushed a discharge petition to force a vote demanding transparency around Epstein’s connections and associates. The Rules Committee was shut down, and the House floor was cleared before the petition could move forward. Johnson aligned with Trump’s wishes, refused to bring the issue to a vote and adjourned the House until early September. Pope Leo XIV has condemned the Israeli military strike on Gaza’s only Catholic church, the Holy Family Parish, which killed three Christian worshippers and seriously injured others. He named the victims, Saad Salameh, Foumiah Ayyad, and Najwa Daoud and offered prayers for their families and the parish community. The attack took place last Thursday in Gaza City. Pope Francis also called for an end to the “barbarity of war.” This marks a heartbreaking escalation for Christians in the region, with churches and civilians increasingly caught in the crossfire and even Ambassador Huckabee calling Israel “not welcoming to Christians.” The church is still standing despite the strike. It’s getting difficult to keep up with disgraced former Governor Cuomo’s track record with women and even the financial costs to New York State for his alleged behavior. A July 18 Gothamist article by John Campbell says New York State is paying $450,000 to settle a sexual harassment case involving former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his former aide Brittany Commisso. According to Commisso, Cuomo called her to the Executive Mansion in December 2020 and “reached under her blouse and fondled her breast.” This is now the second $450K taxpayer-funded settlement paid to one of Cuomo’s accusers. Cuomo denies the allegations and calls the settlement “a political job,” the Gothamist reports. Donald Trump posted on his Truth Social account, calling the renewed focus on Jeffrey Epstein the latest “hoax” pushed by Democrats. He compared it to past investigations like the Steele Dossier, the Russia probe, and the Hunter Biden laptop, claiming they were all fake scandals meant to damage him. Trump said Democrats are only good at spreading lies and are terrible at governing and picking candidates. Zohran Mamdani is leading the NYC mayor’s race by 16 points, according to a new poll from Data for Progress. The poll was conducted between July 1–6, 2025, surveying 756 likely voters through SMS and web panels. It was weighted to reflect the city’s demographics by age, gender, race, education, geography, and past vote. The margin of error is ±4%. Here’s where the candidates stand: • Mamdani: 40% • Cuomo: 24% • Adams: 15% • Sliwa: 14% • Undecided: 5% Mamdani dominates among young voters (68%), college grads (57%), Latinos (43%), and Brooklyn residents (47%). The U.S. Department of Justice recently released nearly 11 hours of surveillance footage from a camera outside Jeffrey Epstein’s cell the night before he was found dead. The DOJ described it as “full raw” video, hoping to put conspiracy theories to rest. But a new investigation by WIRED suggests the opposite may happen. Working with two independent video forensics experts, WIRED examined the 21 Gigabyte file using specialized tools that read metadata. (hidden digital info that shows how a file has been handled) The results raise serious questions about what the DOJ is calling “raw.” The footage shows signs of postprocessing using Adobe software, most likely Adobe Premiere Pro, based on metadata that references specific file extensions tied to Adobe’s video editing toolsAdobe products like Premiere and Photoshop leave behind clear fingerprints in exported files. In this case, the metadata reveals the file was: • Saved four times within 23 minutes on May 23, 2025 • Modified on a Windows user account named “MJCOLE~1” • Exported in a way consistent with editing and assembling video clips Most notably, the video is not a single continuous surveillance feed. The metadata shows it is a edited from at least two separate MP4 files. This contradicts the DOJ’s claim that it was releasing raw, unedited footage directly from the prison’s system. Palestinian American student Mahmoud Khalil is suing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), seeking $20 million in damages from the federal government for what he describes as a politically motivated attempt to silence him. Khalil, a Columbia grad student and pro-Palestinian activist, was detained by ICE for 104 days without charges. He says he was targeted for his views and smeared as a threat to national security. His legal team accuses the government of false imprisonment, defamation, and violating his First Amendment rights.
