I had this same question. Law enforcement couldnβt find the Ring data. Then suddenly they found it. Thatβs concerning for all of us who care about our privacy.

Keep an eye out anytime you see Sen Ron Wyden post a cryptic letter like this. Itβs called either βWyden Sirenβ and 100% of the time, we find out a year or two later that the government was engaging in some egregious privacy violation. He knows about it but canβt talk about it.

We're in an era where a massive number of new folks are joining social movements. Let's celebrate! As we do, we all get to learn a lot about how to keep each other safe (aka: "security culture"). Signal threads being infiltrated can feel scary but not if you understand what we're trying to protect.
