seriously just spam that exact Delap goal over and over against these guys, it's fish in a barrel...

striker makes a run, stays offside and stops > pass to onside runner out wide > get striker behind the ball > cross > profit

find it wholly appropriate that Pep rotated right into a FAFO, by the way

big CL year for the English clubs and Bayern because these Spanish giants are v u l n e r a b l e

well the chances are there against this Chelsea back line, probably playing a little more freely/loosely than they will against Arsenal but Barca are catching them in buildup and creating chances via the press, etc

Sounds like no Gyökeres for Bayern, who themselves know well what it is to play without a true 9. Given that, I'd expect something very similar to the look we gave against Spurs with Eze at the tip as much as Merino and lots of variability.

Since match week 2 one side has performed the best by a pretty wide margin, and that’s *including* an almost comedic run of injuries

wait now they're ahead of them on the table
Everton have fewer losses than Liverpool

Apropos of nothing (because I'm busy updating my ADAM rankings leading up to a new blog) here's how the revamped attacking midfielders rankings look at the top for 23-24:
1. Bruno Fernandes
2. Martin Ødegaard
3. Xavi Simons
4. Cole Palmer
5. Musiala
6. Wirtz
7. Rafa Silva
8. Kulusevski
9. Eze

I’m glad they put an if on this, because Arsenal didn’t tbh

Watching back Eze’s third goal (Arsenal’s fourth) and boy does Merino hold that ball up well. Under the radar stellar game from him

McCarthy doesn’t have it, move on

Spurs were one of the falsest positions in the PL table coming into today tbh, so not that surprising all told. Still excellent stuff from the full gang, good start to life with Hincapié if you ask me

Upside for spurs is they got the better signing

Googly Elmo taking “let it all work out” the wrong way imo

Richarlison and Haaland, not much you can do to stop two elite 9s like that
November 23, 2025 at 5:47 PM
Eze hanging a brace on these dinguses after all the summer talk is too perfect

Chef’s kiss
So discouraging the degree to which we're willing to mash the Eject button on new signings as a fan base.

In Calafiori and Merino, Arsenal signed two players for roughly the cost of one Jhon Durán. In Cala, AFC found a new LB for the same fee Maatsen cost (4 PL starts), barely more than Porro.

Congrats Spurs on the first-half Haaland, which of course is when you register 0.00 xg against Arsenal
November 23, 2025 at 5:22 PM
When is Xavi gonna do something good
November 23, 2025 at 5:17 PM
One day we will finally acknowledge that everyone doubting Merino based on 2024-2025 had their head deep, deep in their ass
Can’t pass, this Spanish fraud
