Dune 2 was great, but it was more so Dune 1 for me
Socialist policies are immensely popular (even among Republicans if you don't label a policy "socialist")

But the Democratic party hates truly socialist Democrats. More than it likes winning or standing up for democracy.

It won't get behind Zohran
why post a screenshot of an X post? Seems an odd way to support the superior platform here
me too! And then it was the first CD I bought. And then I bought Depeche Mode's Violator, and recorded them on either side of a 90-minute cassette (both albums are nearly perfectly 45 minutes) and you could have the cassette just auto-flip all day. The two albums complementing each other so well
have never obsessed over an album as much as when i was introduced to pretty hate machine in the ninth grade - countless hours just sitting and listening to it. Probably did no favors for the long-term health of my hearing ...
I guess I gotta find me a sparkly gown ...
I can sympathize! Fatherhood has meant I haven't touched my oil paints in 10 years or so. Still think about painting every day though.
headline is misleading. We're long past the point of determining what powers the constitution grants.
oh that's wild! Looking forward to seeing how they utilize him
how relieved are we supposed to feel that Kimmel is un-suspended? Still experiencing daytime palpitations and occasional cold sweats, but able to sleep at night? Better or worse?
it's worth reading the article - the original painting was actually painted over with a new face. The restoration wasn't just a cleaning, it was uncovering the original portrait. Pretty fascinating story
That's my first thought, but I've never called, or heard the guy called, an "influencer". Just makes me think of pundits and podcasters more than government officials so I wondered if we're talking someone else
as daft as this whole America-first project has always been, if it had any chance of success, that detainment and abuse of South Koreans probably killed it. Evil makes you stupid
Who are we thinking of?
bummed that my state didn't participate in this. But NH is growing increasingly conservative as the 'Free State' movement sends more activists in to take over local government
🤣
He’s looking more like this every week! 😳
I love printmaking's output. And according to the panel of professors at my sophomore year review, I should've majored in it. Unfortunately, I never could love any of the processes. But still, your advice is good. Everyone should at least try their hand at some printmaking
small in terms of number of decision-makers

but massive regarding enforcement and control over states, communities, and individuals
uh, no. The failing of Democratic leadership is to believe too much in norms and traditions. This talk of not voting or getting involved is utter bullshit. We still need to take every opportunity to work against the GOP
it's so much worse than that. They're complicit in likely sinking America into a generation of fascism. Political parties become meaningless at this point.
it's so hard to watch a significant portion of the country go off the deep end. Truth means nothing to them
Do you know how insane and infuriating it is to live in a country where one party claims, with media and public support, the mantle of being the ‘tough on crime’ party while its leader openly calls for convicted criminals to be released from prison ‘or else’?
Harris/Walz should never have pivoted away from "these guys are weird" to "these guys are a threat to democracy"

the former was effective politics (low-brow but classy compared to Trump) and the latter just doesn't hit with Americans

and seriously - what a f'ing weirdo!
Made my first chocolate chip banana bread tonight. Doesn't really deserve to be called "bread." It's a dense cake. Will definitely make again, but probably with a little less chocolate chips
following AI advances is equally fascinating and frightening. This particular branch of AI seems as promising and yet as fraught as any other I can think of.
