This is wise….but it is, oddly, an ongoing battle in many centres even to maintain the current coverage…

When data is more than admin.. "evidence of circumstances supporting culture shift to one where resident data informs day-to-day care. A systematic approach to collecting data on residents’ characteristics and QoL could increase staff awareness and directly inform care planning and delivery. "

📋 Have you had a Social Needs Care Assessment or Carer's Needs Assessment in the past two years?

🧠 Do you live with, or care for someone with, a neurodegenerative condition (such as dementia, MS or MND)?

🗣️ You could take part in an interview or survey to share your experience. Full details below 👇
Experiences of social care needs assessments among people with neurodegenerative conditions.

Call for research participants. We want to hear the experiences of people living with neurodegenerative conditions or caring for a family member or friend with a neurodegenerative condition.

Photo: two people sat on a bus. What is the study about?
We want to explore the views and experiences of people living with a neurodegenerative condition and their unpaid carers, in the process of care needs assessments and their access to and use of subsequent care and support

Why is this important?
Social care needs assessment are a person’s gateway to accessing care and support to help them in their daily lives and as their condition progresses.

What do I need to do as a participant?
You will take part in a remote interview with a member of the research team via Microsoft Teams, at a time convenient to you. The interview will be audio-recorded and last a maximum of 45 minutes.

Get involved. For further information, or to get involved in the study, please contact either Dr Clarissa Giebel (clarissa.giebel@liverpool.ac.uk) or Emma Williams (emma.williams2@liverpool.ac.uk).

Lots to think about from visiting the Jean Bishop Centre and @adamgordon1978.bsky.social @proflizsampson.bsky.social loads to think about for community involvement and proactive care that @acha020.bsky.social might want to do too
