From the ICYMI department: Game 3 was the first Brewers-Cubs postseason game at Wrigley, but it wasn’t the first time they played a huge October game there. Josh Hader helped us remember Game 163. www.mlb.com/news/brewers...

Surely the Brewers and Cubs both know at this hour who is starting Game 4. But in a series rich with gamesmanship, they’re not telling the rest of us. How Jose Quintana’s effort in Game 3 gave Milwaukee options, beginning of course with Freddy Peralta. www.mlb.com/news/jose-qu...

Quinn Priester’s dream start turned into a dud, and the Brewers couldn’t quite make it all the way back.

As Priester walked off the mound, Pat Murphy stopped him.

“‘Be ready to pitch again,’” was the manager’s message, Priester said. “And I am.” www.mlb.com/news/brewers...

The Brewers’ Game 2 pitching plan was so detailed it included Quinn Priester warming up as a decoy. Aside from a first inning blip, it went beautifully.

But to win by launching homers? Who could have planned for that?
