#UBER unfairly making the drivers liable for VAT, they would otherwise have to pay. To make this worse, UBERs new contracts permit them to take 49% commission from the fare. Very poor form. #DeleteUBER V2

Hard work is only half the equation; risk is the other. A nurse or teacher gets a guaranteed salary at the end of the month. An entrepreneur gets nothingβ€”or goes bankruptβ€”if their idea fails. That risk deserves a reward, not just scorn.

I take your point. Unfortunately I can't read the article without an account.

Sure, immediately, the title says almost one third, of billionaires wealth is inherited. So by that reasoning, more than two thirds billionaires are self-made?

For most "rich" people, they have worked incredibly hard to be successful and get to where they are. They are also usually the larger employers. In the UK, you are penalised for doing so, and forced to pay for those who can't be arsed.

Short stroll along the River Kent in #Kendal this afternoon. I sat watching this cheeky Little Egret. Each time a duck settled, it'd fly over to move them on and then fly off again. Also came across a sweet little Robin. #Cumbria #Birdlife

Clearly there would be exceptions but clearly to choice to have a child didn't happen the day it is born. What I'm referring to is that in most circumstances, around 9 months prior to birth, a choice is made. If one knows they can't afford to keep a child, that choice ought to be a wise one.

What are you doing to educate people not to have children in the first place if they cannot afford them from the outset?

South Africa uses concrete Dolos's to hold back the mighty Atlantic storms. These would work so well here, can be made locally and the design was never protected. Because they lock together they don't wash away. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolos
