Remember, “Earth Month” is likely the theme for every company’s content calendar and marketing strategy this April. Be hyper aware of greenwashing and buckle up for sales on “eco-friendly” products you don’t need. We can do this 💪🏽

Happy Earth Month! Let’s celebrate through action and connection 🌎

Watching video of NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore emerge from the capsule, warming my heart 🥰

Reading the comments on said video littered with space exploration deniers, freezing my heart over again 🥶

The consequences of eliminating the EPA’s research arm will be dire:

➡️ Rising pollution levels
➡️ Increased public health risks
➡️ Long-term economic fallout
➡️ Legal challenges as courts push back
➡️ Weakened global environmental standing

Trump ended the first-ever National Nature Assessment, which was trying to reveal how nature loss influences climate change and impacts humanity, but the researchers are trying to publish it anyway.
Trump Killed a Major Report on Nature. They’re Trying to Publish It Anyway. (Gift Article)
The first full draft of the assessment, on the state of America’s land, water and wildlife, was weeks from completion. The project leader called the study “too important to die.”

Public access to the EJScreen from the EPA was discontinued on February 5, 2025. Luckily, the Public Environmental Data Partners have recreated the tool and made it publicly accessible 👏🏽

Use the initial reconstruction, and check back regularly for updates: screening-tools.com/epa-ejscreen

I can’t wait until Super Bowl LIX ends so I can watch the ads when they hit YouTube and dissect the propaganda that’s sure to plague them this year.

To those of you actually watching the game, enjoy the entertainment while the rest of us continue to watch our country fall in 4K 🫠

I attended the Southern Arizona Annual Heat Summit yesterday, and it was such a relief to be surrounded by a community of like-minded people who openly talk about “equity” and “climate change” because those two cannot be separated!

I’m feeling burnt out on nonfiction and want to dive into some good climate fiction #cli-fi to recharge my imagination. What are your favorite cli-fi reads, and what’s on your TBR list? 🤓

Friends, sharing academic and news articles without breaking them down for the layperson isn’t effective mass communication.

Remember, we’re all tuned in to W.I.I.F.M. (What’s In It For Me) Radio. To capture attention, you need to meet people where they are and show them why your message matters.

I notice the girlies on ✨Sustainable IG✨ are applauding Sen. Johnson’s so-called “Health Round Table” from September and are excited about the recent RFK Jr and Dr Oz cabinet appointments 😩

Pseudoscience is winning, especially among folks who just want to do better by their bodies and their planet.

I was taught in university that it’s unethical for journalists to also be political activists, as it could create a perception of bias.

This idea has always held me back from pursuing climate journalism—but I’m wondering if that’s still the norm. #Journalists of Bluesky, what’s your take?

#COP29 feels like the least reported COP since I’ve been following climate. Is this a sign of the times or do I need to rework my algorithms?
