Uma estátua de cera de Donald Trump foi retirada de exposição pública em museu em San Antonio (Texas, EUA) após visitantes a terem socado, arranhado e agredido fisicamente repetidas vezes.
O modelo em tamanho real, exposto no museu de cera Louis Tussaud, ficou tão danificado que os funcionários foram obrigados a retirá-lo da mostra.
A estátua sofreu múltiplos ferimentos ao longo do tempo, incluindo no rosto, e os funcionários admitiram que ela havia sido "agredida vezes demais" para permanecer em exibição.
A Ripley Entertainment, empresa que administra o museu, confirmou a decisão.
"É uma figura presidencial. Às vezes, as pessoas a atacam, mas fizeram isso com Obama, Bush e também com figuras de celebridades. É algo que acontece", minimizou Suzanne Smagala-Potts, porta-voz da empresa, sem esclarecer se as outras esculturas também haviam saído de exibição por causa de danos.
Clay Stewart, gerente regional da Ripley, disse ao "San Antonio Express-News" que o problema costuma ser amplificado quando a figura retrata alguém profundamente controverso.

After amplifying Trump propaganda that Trump paramilitary surges in Democratic cities were to “fight crime” even NYT forced to admit obvious fact that Trump targeting hard working families not criminals. He is causing terror & violence, hurting our community & economy, for right-wing talking points.
