Trump has invited Hungary’s PM Viktor Orban to join his so-called “Peace Council”. Orban says it recognizes Hungary’s role in seeking peace. Earlier, Bloomberg reported Trump plans to charge $1B for permanent seats in this body, pitched as an alternative to the UN.

If neither Roberts or 4 Republican senators step up to save US from Trump, Trump risks a military coup if he orders US military to start shooting war with Europe. If Europe holds firm he either needs to back down and pursue other stupid goals, or ensure his own ruin.

Europe should/will call Trump’s hand on threatening mutual economic & security ruin in his quixotic demand for Greenland: there is no constituency in US that wants Greenland, especially at risk of economic & martial war with Europe. If he keeps going he risks losing Roberts & 4 Republican senators.
