Aside from Phantom Liberty, tbh I think the biggest appeal of replaying Cyberpunk is that I’m more willing to stop and smell the roses this time
I kinda just really focused the main story and ignored a lot of side stuff because I was waiting for the game to get better and just wanted done with it

Last thing I’ll say: I think I’d put Starfield around the middle in my Objective Not-at-All-Arbitrary Bethesda Game Tier List

Writing is simultaneously a strong and a weak point and it’s very strange
The game suffers from what you do not affecting other things (being in the UCV doesn’t come up at all in the Rangers, Sona is completely written out immediately [staying vague for spoiler reasons], etc)

Finished Starfield, it was surprisingly solid overall
Character limit’s preventing me from giving my full thoughts but tl;dr I thought it was good when it’s focused (doing factions and quests) and bad when it’s aimless (wandering around planets & star systems looking for stuff)

I think my biggest complaint with Starfield is how the perk system works
Some of the perks are a massive grind and they don't count retroactively, they only start tracking progress once you've unlocked a given grind
Great example is this, I've been wounded maybe 5 total times this whole run

Cyberpunk revisionism is highkey getting out of hand
Reddit has convinced itself the game was only broken in any way on last gen consoles and that the PC version ran fine and only had minor bugs
I remember getting softlocked at least once and I had constant major bugs on a pretty good rig at launch

Finally resuming the main story

Surprisingly, the 3060 is actually the bottleneck
I can't hit 60 at all in New Atlantis with these settings and it's entirely the GPU, CPU's not maxed out here and raising GPU-related settings noticeably cuts the FPS further. Sitting in the 50s

Surprisingly, the 3060 is actually the bottleneck
I can't hit 60 at all in New Atlantis with these settings and it's entirely the GPU, CPU's not maxed out here and raising GPU-related settings noticeably cuts the FPS further. Sitting in the 50s

I will be tormenting my poor, aging 10750H+mobile 3060 with Starfield shortly
Avowed was a bit too much for it (it ran playably for what I needed it for but even with reduced settings there was a TON of constant stutter) and I don't expect Starfield to go much better, that game's a CPU killer

A 32 GB kit of DDR4-3600 goes for around 200 bones
NEW kits were like, $50-70 (depending on brand/presence of RGB/etc) a year or so ago

It's not without problems but ngl, the Crimson Fleet questline was pretty good. Probably the highlight of the game for me so far to the point it's bumped Starfield at least above Fallout 4 for me lmao

I’m actually kinda really enjoying the Crimson Fleet questline
The RPG mechanics and choices are as deep as a puddle but I still appreciate what’s on offer, especially since I’m playing a goodie two shoes; there are a few different ways to do the missions, especially if you’re avoiding murder
