We're hearing a lot of requests for updates on various pathways. Nothing has changed recently, but this should be useful.

Please share with your networks. #AfghanEvac
⭐ For Afghan allies already in the United States ⭐

If you have an upcoming immigration appointment or court date in the United States, please let us know. If there are #BattleBuddies in your area, we'll make sure someone is standing with you.

The Enduring Welcome Act + the Afghan Adjustment Act = end-to-end protection.

AAA: permanence for Afghans already here

EWA: restores relocation for those still abroad

Together, they keep America’s promise.

Support is already broad + bipartisan, led by Reps KamlagerDove and McCaul with backing from members across both parties.

This is about more than policy. It’s about national honor, moral responsibility, and ensuring no Afghan ally is left behind.

Congress now has the chance to put things right. 🇺🇸
Why it matters: America made a promise to those who stood with us in war. Breaking that promise is a stain on our honor.

The Enduring Welcome Act reaffirms that the U.S. keeps faith with its allies, our veterans, and the values that define us.
This bill locks in CARE for 5 years, ensuring no administration can dismantle the office at will.

That means accountability, consistency, and real protection for Afghan allies and their families.
The Enduring Welcome Act fixes this by:
✅ Restoring CARE (Coordinator for Afghan Relocation Efforts)
✅ Creating a secure, transparent case database
✅ Expediting family reunifications
✅ Requiring regular reporting to Congress
✅ Strengthening interagency coordination
There are 250,000 Afghans in 90 countries who stood by us and were in the process of relocating through various pathways (consular and refugee).

The shutdown of CARE has left them in limbo.
Since Jan 2025, not a single evacuation flight for Afghans has taken off.

Thousands of families who risked everything to stand with U.S. forces are still stranded, facing danger and Taliban reprisals.
🚨 Big news: Congress just introduced the Enduring Welcome Act — a bipartisan bill to restore America’s commitment to Afghan allies.

Here’s what it does and why it matters. 🧵

“They served with us. They protected us. So no one who stood with us in war should stand alone in court,” said Shawn VanDiver @shawnjvandiver.bsky.social , president of @AfghanEvac.bsky.social. “Our allies are getting snatched up in court while following the rules. This is wrong and un-American.”
#AfghanEvac + IAVA just launched Battle Buddies — a new national effort where veterans stand in quiet solidarity with Afghan allies in immigration court.

No slogans. No confrontation. Just presence.

An update from #AfghanEvac President @shawnjvandiver.bsky.social on relocation flights and a message for DAS Bischoping, the Afghan woman in charge of implementing President Trump’s policy with regard to Afghanistan
An Afghan ally who served alongside U.S. forces was legally paroled into the U.S. and showed up for his first hearing.

DHS detained him anyway—using a vague “improvidently issued” excuse.

He followed the rules.

We have the video.

This must stop.

I’m tired of hearing how much Members of Congress “care” behind closed doors.

If you’re not speaking up in public about the Afghan allies we left behind, then you’re part of the problem.

This week, a few stood up. Most stayed silent.

Enough is enough. Take a stand. @afghanevac.bsky.social
Happy #MothersDay!

Mothers deserve to be reunited with their families.

We are going to keep pushing.

USA: Thanks to @irap.bsky.social's major win in Pacito v. Trump, the U.S. government must restart refugee admissions and support services for Afghan allies whose travel had been approved prior to 1-20-2025. For more details, see @afghanevac.bsky.social's write-up below. #ProtectLinguists
🚨BREAKING: The Trump administration has terminated TPS for Afghanistan.

This decision flies in the face of the facts on the ground—and the lives at stake.

Afghans in the U.S. deserve protection, not abandonment.
