I was in Lisbon, where there is a Painleve exhibition. It was beautiful to watch this shimmering auto animation. Squids and clumsy medieval.knoghts also feature. Plus a vampire (bat) salute that was strangely Musk-like.

Fabulous cinema. Saw the worst film ever there - Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Luckily distracted by cinema environment in-between consulting Wikipedia to work out incomprehensible plot.

I've just found out that there's a similar film by Jean Painlevé. In case you're not familiar with him, he was a filmmaker and photographer with a background in biology. He was specialized in underwater fauna and he has some experimental films related to that, which were the ones that I knew.
