This is so absurd. NOT standing against mass murder, cruelty, and gen0cide is what should be shamed but instead it's writing sweet books for kids and fighting for the safety and rights for all children that gets you in trouble in this country.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

Bill Maher and Van Jones are both absolute disgraces. The footage of them laughing at a joke Jones made involving dead babies in Gaza will go down in history as one of the most depraved examples of how deeply complicit Western media has been in the dehumanization and genocide of Palestinians.

The Sumud flotilla may not have succeeded in breaking the siege but it did succeed in bringing hope to decent people everywhere, and most importantly, people in Gaza who were reminded that many people not only care but are willing to sacrifice their lives to help end the cruelty and injustice.

We just had our first grant terminated. This was a U19 AViDD grant (grants.nih.gov/grants/guide...). It was set to end next month, although many in the consortia were hoping for NCEs.

This is horrifying! Family members of some of the people sent to do hard labor in a Salvadoran prison by Trump confirm their loved ones weren't members of a gang.

One woman said her brother got a tattoo of a rose in Dallas, and because of that they accused him of being a gang member.

Anyelo had told his sister on Friday night that he would be deported to Venezuela, she said in a phone interview with Reuters from Texas.
Solanyer said her brother had been detained on January 31 after an appointment at a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office. He had crossed the U.S.-Mexico border illegally with Solanyer and another sister in November 2023 and had been released to pursue a claim for asylum.
Solanyer said an ICE officer told her that her brother was detained because of a tattoo that linked him to Tren de Aragua, a violent gang with Venezuelan prison origins that has spread through the Americas. She said the tattoo depicted a rose and that he had gotten it in a tattoo parlor in Dallas.

"It's complicated" is often such a BS statement. A lot of the time, things that are portrayed as complicated are really simple. We're all connected. We're all human. Oppression is wrong. These
statements being perceived as controversial tells us how backward our society is.
