Underrated skill for junior faculty: knowing how to ask for help/guidance. No fellowship can prepare you for every scenario. Learning new skills is critical for growth, but having early poor outcomes can damage one’s reputation.

In patients with secondary MR & LVEF <50%, both EF and the severity of MR predicted RV dysfunction. RV dysfunction associated with worse outcomes.

Ablative atherectomy (LASER)

🔫EXCITE ISR- only RCT data we have in PAD with atherectomy
🔫 very useful for single vessel runoff
🔫 variety of sizes (0.9, 1.4, 2)
🔫 can modify calcium with laser bomb (contrast on laser)

A good tool to have for both coronary and peripheral work. #Cardiosky #medsky
