The Inquisitor vs Public Opinion

Thought it would be fun to draw how the Inquisitor might be depicted vs how he actually is. Jordan isn't taking the criticisms too well.

It has been two weeks since Xio Marino’s departure from Known Realms: Tolesh over on @talesarchived.bsky.social

Almost 3 years, 120 sessions, and one of the most personal characters I have ever had the pleasure to embody. I wanted to share some thoughts ✨

Lastly, the earnestness and respect I was provided in incorporating my Puerto Rican culture and identity to Xio’s journey. I could write an entire separate thread about it. Finding purpose in giving back to the Island that raised him. It is something I yearn for myself.

And from a place of safety and consent I was also able to explore a complicated and beautiful side to what it means nurturing relationship. It inspired me to ask questions, to not just inform my character but also myself as a player.

Xio initially sprung into existence inspired by Monkey D Luffy. I wanted to play with identity, community, family and responsibility. I used that foundation, and then my emotional connection realized Xio into something so much more their own. And I really hope it reflects throughout.

I am all for extensive backstories! With Xio however, I was able to use the world and the story to help me shape them. It was like learning something new about a friend every time it happened. I fell in love with this character.

When I was first asked to join Tolesh, one of the most important things I told myself about this character was that I wanted to start small. A Tiefling warlock/rogue was about basic as one could get. I’m so happy allowed them to evolve with the sandbox.
