....IS it this one? I don't even know...in my mind Yoongi had dark hair when he said this...but it's been so long and we know how imprecisely memory works 😅 either way, DEEPLY enjoyed Namjoon just taking Yoongi's earnest-sounding answer as him bullshitting.

just started laughing thinking about that interview where bangtan was asked about crying, and yoongi was like, crying is no big deal, i cried earlier because the wind made my eyes water.

With the not-so-new book in his hands, Yoongi’s legs are stretching farther than normal as he beelines for Taehyung at the front, not even giving the few people he saw earlier so much as a glance. By the time he’s turning to the front of the check-out counter, he sees Taehyung gazing off in a random direction before suddenly flinching and snapping his head in Yoongi’s direction.

“Woah!” he exclaims, evidently startled in how he straightens his posture, wide eyes blinking at him. “Jeez, hyung, you almost gave me a heart attack!”

“Sorry,” Yoongi quickly apologizes, somewhat insincerely. “Here. My order.”

He places the book firmly on the counter. Taehyung blinks at it once, then twice, before his forehead wrinkles, glancing back up at Yoongi. “Um… Moonchild?”

“Yes.”

A pause.

“Didn’t you buy this already?” Taehyung questions, pointing a puzzled finger down at the collection.

Yoongi doesn’t answer directly, but rather shifts the subject to something more important. “You didn’t tell me Kim Namjoon was going to have a book signing here tomorrow.”

For a second, Taehyung doesn’t seem to register his words, eyes wandering like he’s trying to recall what Yoongi is talking about. That only seems to shock him. It’s his bookstore, no? Why wouldn’t he know about the event tomorrow?

It's WIP Wednesday, and I actually have a WIP to post! Just a little snippet of Namgi banter from something coming next month....

“I couldn’t forgive myself if I thought you were out there, wracked with anxiety and unable to sleep,” Namjoon said dryly. He lifted his hand to place it on his heart. “I solemnly swear never to forget that you think I’m wrong.”

“That you are wrong,” Yoongi corrected, wagging a finger at him. He could feel the smile tugging at his lips, and he pressed them together to suppress it. “That’s an important distinction.”

“I can’t know I’m wrong when I think I’m right,” Namjoon retorted. He straightened up and rolled his shoulders back like he always did when he was gearing up to argue with Yoongi. “And neither of us can know whether we’re right or wrong on a matter of subjective opinion.”

“I’m afraid I don’t have time to have an epistemological debate with you right now, Namjoon, I have a sticky table to wipe,” Yoongi sniped, but there’s a laugh in his voice that’s echoed by Namjoon’s.
