It’s leaving cert results and avenue I took was from lower points course to one of the top schools in the country. Finally finished in September 2008 which I wouldn’t recommend but the chance of a massive world altering economic crash is slim right?

Did the fabled Leinster system mean a talent like Sam was kept from other teams and a professional contract and experience when there wasn’t space in Leinster; perhaps the club game more generally or rule Ireland players need to play in Ireland to get capped is to blame(2/2)
There’s an interesting thing not mentioned in the whole Sam P debate compared to Fin Smith. Fin admittedly is slightly older but when Sam was signing with Leinster Academy, Fin was practically making his professional debut. (1/2)
Funny thing about the Crowley/Prendergast thing is it distracted from other issues. If the strategy is to get the best of our players then why are we only scoring ‘up the jumper’ maul tries against a 14 man (or was it 13 at the time) Italy team who had what 6 injuries!
Since 17/18 when they last one European Championship, Leinster have been runner-up 4 times. Can’t be expected to win every time but the lack of strategy to beat the best teams is telling.
Ireland are way more aligned with Leinster from a style perspective than last season.
The difference is that Ireland are playing generally better teams with deeper squads that don't fall off after 60 minutes when Leinster bring on Snyman and Barrett.
I think we lost 3(?) counter rucks which is a huge number. Our attack seemed to play into this strength which is baffling. Meant each and every attacking ruck was a 50/50
Jimmy Gopperth still playing or even the inclusion of almost every level of rugby on the planet wasn’t the biggest surprise in this. Great video up to the usual standard!
