I know Saturday 14 March is a busy day for many, but here's an event at Oran Mor in Glasgow that I hope will catch your imagination. Convention-style meeting during the day and some excellent music and poetry in the evening - tickets available for either or both.

Never forget that the almost entirely pro-union media is essentially an agent of the anti-SNP and anti-Independence campaigns. #Scotland #Holyrood26
BBC Scotland is completely out of control with this story now. It's so bad that presenters are making stuff up in order to lend weight to Unionist smears against John Swinney, Nicola Sturgeon and other SNP figures. We see them! #BBCBias #SNPBadAtALLTimes 😡

A huge weapons contractor who owns a large part of land near me and still tests weapons for the MoD on it, hands Reform £22.7 million quid
Another massive contract.
Christopher Harborne, the largest shareholder in QinetiQ, has donated c.£22,700,000 to Reform UK. 92% of QinetiQ's income is from the MoD.
The UK government, in this way, subsidises Reform UK. I think I'm the only one who's reported this @bylinetimes.bsky.social

Seems that Nigel Farage's first cabinet - should the old fraud succeed - will mainly comprise failures from the Tories and UKIP. Not a cheering prospect.

In case you were still in any doubt, here’s Keir Starmer confirming precisely what he thinks of Scotland, folks who live in Scotland, Scottish culture and Rabbie Burns.

Oddly, Tunnock’s and Barr’s used to be Tory supporters. I wonder what’s changed…

(Nothing, I’d suggest)

Great to have @johnswinney.bsky.social join us on the doors in East Whitburn today!

🥀 The Labour-Tory council coalition failing our communities is barely clinging on

So this by-election is our best chance to build a better West Lothian together!

🗳️ So please vote Callum on December 11

Braw day in Blackburn campaigning for a more affordable, brighter and better connected West Lothian.

Folks are resonating with our campaign to put your priorities first again, after a decade of neglect from West Lothian’s Labour-Tory coalition!

Thanks to everyone who joined us today 💛

Fantastic support in Whitburn today for @snp.org — including some first-timer voters I bumped into!

Folks on the doors feel excited for our campaign to make West Lothian more affordable, brighter and better connected

And I think it’s fair to say that meeting wee Hugo was the highlight!

It's pretty clear now. If Scotland wants to be back in the EU, the only route is for us to join after we've regained independence.

Which, by my reckoning, would take no more than seven years (including our own referendum).

Here's how:

Now watch as the BBC treat the Holyrood 2026 election as dress rehearsal for the next UK general election, and relentlessly promote their agenda of giving disproportionate coverage to the right-wing parties.

Again, I really do have concerns about exactly how Justin Webb is acquiring his knowledge of US politics or what prompted him to make this exact point.
Justin Webb just referred on Today to "platforms like Bluesky, where you can see the celebration of the killing" of Charlie Kirk.

What I'm seeing on here is overwhelming condemnation; despair at the violence of US politics; alarm at where this might go; & calls for equal horror at other shootings.

This is the leadership countries should expect - one which stands up for all the people who make up that nation.

A voice which speaks up for all of Scotland's people is needed, now more than ever.

As Westminster and England lurch to the Far Right,

It is clear #Scotland is on a different path.
Throwing a brick through the window of a hotel housing asylum seekers in Falkirk is absolutely despicable.

People who fled war and persecution deserve to live in safety, not fear.

Words have consequences - it’s time for politicians who spread hate to reflect on that.

When I wrote this in 2019 some accused me of exaggerating the connection between the intellectual bigotry/racism of the Spectator and Telegraph (as exemplified by Scruton and Murray) and BNP/street-level thuggery. If anything I was too cautious..

Scruton is part of an intellectual culture giving respectability to racism
Howls of outrage over philosopher Sir Roger Scruton's loss of a government job ignore the reality of his output.

Why would anyone want to associate themselves with that lot?
