In other Title IV news, a man whose behavior hurt me, my parish, my friends, and many others is no longer a priest in the Episcopal Church. I am relieved, and so thankful he won’t hurt anyone like this ever again. ⚓️

So good! My deacon mentor was out of town, so I shadowed a deacon at another parish, and they were all so welcoming and I didn’t make a fool of myself EMing at a new church!

I got a scholarship from a local women in ministry foundation, so I’m going to buy a linen one! I’d rather be slightly wrinkly and cool! Glad to know this does make a big difference!

I was an acolyte for a decade, and loved it dearly, but it’s been so long and church has become so complicated. But yesterday with the Cursillo team and today at St. Mary’s was the reminder that it is sweetness.

My brain is overflowing with names and protocol for L/EMing next week, but it was a great first day at my field placement parish!! I’m with the good people of St. Mary’s Eugene as their deacon intern for this program year, and I’m so looking forward to getting to know them!
