I had to change one of my most important and long-running meds because of insurance. My doctors and Reddit made me afraid it was gonna feel like a month long Pikachu Thunder Wave attack directly to my brain. But actually? I feel better!! A chronic illness Christmas miracle!

My wife just yelled “I’M GETTING EVERYTHING I WANT” which apparently is five turnovers in the first half of Monday Night Football.

Wife: What’s petit jury duty?

Me: Oh that’s where you hear evidence in a trial for those little French cakes.

Wife:

Me: Petit fours.

Wife:

Me: You know, like the Showstopper challenge in series four of the Great British—

Wife: I’ll Google it.

Oh god I just heard a girl looking at Christmas cards go “Oh this is VERY vintage.” And her friend said “Whoa yeah, like 1990s vintage!”

For up to half of people with #LongCOVID, activities like exercise can trigger post-exertional malaise (PEM). Yet Long COVID clinics around the world are offering exercise as treatment while dismissing its serious harms.

I love in the NWSL how the USWNT players all check in on each other when they fall down, even if they’re on opposite pro teams. And I love how in the WNBA, even if you won six Olympic gold medals with somebody, you will run through them like a tornado if they’re on the other team and in your way.

Me: Do you wanna watch an episode of Yellowjackets and then the NWSL Championship and then discuss, at length, which experience was gayer?

Wife: God yes.

Local news started up after the basketball game literally with “Zohran Mamdani and Donald Trump: two proud New Yorkers, learning to work together.” Unfuckinreal. 😑

Several people hollered “GO BATS!” at me on my walk to the pharmacy and I was like “Yes finally people are recognizing masking as caped crusader superhero behavior!” But then I realized I’m not wearing a New York Liberty hoodie; I’m wearing a Gotham FC hoodie on NWSL finals eve. 😂🦇

I ran into traffic at a busy intersection when my Walgreens bag with a tiny tube of $200 prescription ointment flew out of my bike basket. I know I've built up a lot of goodwill because my neighbors were like STOP HONKING AT HER!! even though I must have looked unhinged scrambling around out there.
