LLMs do not possess conciousness because they are a math equation finding the next most likely token following the previous one. Someone programming a raspi attached to sensors and wheels that reaponds to stimuli would honestly be closer to a bug than an LLM.

Thought only exists currently in biological matter, binary logic on a silicon chip is unlikely to be the way to simulate that on an artificial brain. In my opinion you would be better off trying to understand the structure of our own brains and artificially reproducing what we know works.

I never said that conciousness can only exist in biological substrate chief. I am saying an LLM is not equivalent to a human conciousness. There is probably some way to create an artificial brain but an LLM aint it.
