I don’t like the Yankees but a lot of people I love do like the Yankees so I don’t actively root against them unless they are playing the Mets.

But between you and me, I’m really disappointed in the people I love who chose to be Yankee fans.

For all the anger at the pitiful Democratic leadership, rank and file Democrats seem to be demonstrating that they are actually in charge of the party and will set its direction. That is a good thing. The GOP belongs to one man; the future of the Democrats is up to every Democrat.

Back in the 90s I would read the headlines on other people’s papers on the subway and then abuse them when they turned the page of the newspaper that they paid for and I did not
