Sometimes you realize you’re a 40 something white woman on your way to a Pilates class carrying the tote bag of a local book store and you’re like…. Oh. Yes. I see now how this happens.
sewing assistant has clocked in

in this jet lag podcast Ben explains that if he gets recognized or anyone remembers his order he can never go to that restaurant again (relatable). then he says that Adam is personally greeting and chatting with every single member of the audience individually. love an introvert/extrovert couple.

I am 76 pages into a book and I DO NOT GET IT so I went to goodreads to see what I'm missing and found a review that perfectly encapsulates how confused I am (it's not funny?? it's not much of a book????) and the review is by KJ Charles. lol. small world.

I have found every way a sewing machine can stop working, I think?? bobbin stuck, top unthreaded, bobbin unthreaded, feet stuck, bobbin string barf…….. I think that’s enough for me today tbh

we got a sewing machine to hem stuff (being 5'1" is tough) so I decided to get some fabric and try to make a skirt, and it has absolutely activated Hex, she has the fabric zoomies so bad

I keep forgetting that since I got covid a couple of years ago, I /actually/ have asthma and I need to actively think about it and use my emergency inhaler now and then, especially after I run.

I've had an inhaler since I was a kid, but I think I tricked the doctor into it, tbh; my mom had asthma

boy there is nothing like an hour long lesson in your target language (which you haven't spoken regularly in 20 years) to humble you. I am HANGING IN THERE and I have a lottttt of flashcards to make lol.

we have decided that Adam and Ben Jet Lag are definitely drift compatible. Adam and Sam Jet Lag are also drift compatible, but the Jaeger probably explodes.

I like all the off-season trivia games the Jet Lag podcast plays, but I'm not sure I've laughed harder at anything than I did at the trivia questions Ben wrote while high on painkillers

listening to the jet lag podcast describes a quintessential rural Japan experience: no one at the hotel speaks English, they find a random person to translate, & the hotel staff is so concerned about Sam & Ben that in the morning the manager insists on personally driving them to the train station

I have a list of things I can get on sale this week (literally 2 things that I decided a month ago, and one of them I have now bought) and yarn is NOT ON THE LIST. I need whatever the knitter's equivalent of holy water and a cross is for this hedgehog fibre sale. get away from me! I don't need you!!
