Happy Myths and Legends Awareness Day! I'm filling out my classes for next year, what kinds of mythic topics would you be interested in learning more about?
Spotting dragons everywhere these days
As I revise and edit the manuscript on Unicorns, I'm playing with my class exploring the archetype, as well. Price drop available now via my Patreon. (Or subscribe as a $12 member and get access for 78% off...) www.patreon.com/posts/unicor...
It's National Read an Ebook day! A perfect day to pre-order my new novella ebook a.co/d/1Y9VEpm (delivered to your device on 9/26!)
Need to get some work done today, have had so many days of driving and doctors it feels like I haven't worked since last Tuesday. Going to complete reimagine my office this weekend. (and dust and mop!)
Speaking of which I have a Dragon class starting later this month

Good morning, MJ! It's an enchanting place, that's for sure! Headed to Santa Fe (again) this afternoon. I'm sure tired of driving every day. It's a good thing I don't have to commute!

The places where you actually NEED grace are filthy and bloody and despairing. Grace is the last cigarette shared in the gutter, the hand of the dying being held by the stranger, the kindness done by the broken.

"Pat, why do you carry that ridiculous 600mm lens on long hikes?"

Buddy, I can see mountains reflected in the eyes of a trailside pika.
Just packed up all the books for my first Storygraph giveaway. I hope they like them and review them!!
Feeling starved for beauty so when errands called me to Santa Fe, I decided to see some art! I also got grocery store flowers, because beauty.
I lived in a hotel for 2 months and it was one of the hardest, darkest periods of my life.
The ragweed is in full bloom in my yard, and everyone is sneezing! Even the dog!

I am enjoying the heck out of the sunflowers.
I am excited to see you there, Shan!
This is not a hot take. "Quiet quitting" was just the boundary-setting portion of burnout, and "quiet cracking" is actual factual burnout. Late Stage Capitalism sure doesn't want us to realize we're burned out... let's just make up more stupid names for it.
When I started grad school, my then-husband tried to tell one of his coworkers the field that I was studying for my Ph.D. She tried to wrap her mind around it and asked.

“What, like fairies ‘n’ shit?”
Yes, exactly.

in anticipation of the likely banning of the trns flg—the way things are going—i have made a prototype of a functional performative object meant to trouble & expand the work done by such gestural tools. the picture is hard to decipher; text is in alt. the next version will be more durable.
The horses that are grazed around here change fields so often I'm never sure where they are or who is where. There's a bay gelding my dog and I had bonded with that could definitely use some love.
