@theaacr.bsky.social #AACR2025 I was honored to co-chair the “microRNAs and other noncoding RNAs” session at AACR Chicago. Fantastic talks about small molecule inhibitors and novel targets regulating miRNA function/EV transport and lincRNA activity that could lead to novel RNA medicine for cancer.

Disease does not discriminate. Science is not a dirty word. Politics does not belong in the lab. But yet, here we are.

RO1 deadline for Feb 5 is almost here and suddenly my grant office and I can’t get into NIH ASSIST to upload documents. Hope this is just a random fluke that will fix itself?

My last Molecular Genetics class of the semester ended with a competitive game of Model Organisms Genetics Jeopardy that reinforced all of the course concepts (via JeopardyLabs platform). Of course, one category was Nobel Laureates with prominent roles highlighted by C. elegans researchers!
Fantastic first year VHS Biomedical graduate students and Generics Jeopardy stars.

I bumped into a colleague in the corridor of the building next door and we began brainstorming about some new methods for my project. This chance ten minute chat was more productive than most of my meetings. Cheers to corridor conversations!
