After scanning my film negatives, I take the time to cut them and put them in sleeves for safer storage. It's a tedious process, especially if I have a lot of film piled up, but it's rewarding to know that it's stored safely. #analogfilmfeed #35mm

I like watching Aiyanna be silly in NYC but I LOVE knowing that the Rick Owens store carries Pilot G2s

Arguably, Supernatural was an example of how technology can serve and connect people. It reached people you wouldn't expect to log in DAILY to a VR headset.

It's like saying small, dedicated communities aren't enough if they're not raking it in at scale. That makes me so sad.

Here’s a story I’ve been working on for a few weeks.

Over 50 Supernatural fans reached out to share how a VR fitness game changed their lives — and they had choice words about how Mark Zuckerberg and Meta killed the one thing that brought them together.

It’s still a good idea to cleanse your palette from time to time, especially if you paint with acrylic
For reference and since I don't like being that guy to people when I see them use the wrong one:

Palette = the thing you use to hold and mix paint

Palate = the top of your mouth and your sense of personal taste

Pallet = thing you load boxes on and move with a forklift

English, man
Because I have seen this five times in 24 hours: it is “palate cleanser”. Not “palette cleanser”

Knowing nothing about the author, I checked Libby for The Beauty Myth (a rec’d book) and thought there were just two different ppl by the same name—writer of a feminist classic, and some weird ass anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist.
Nope, same gyal

THEY’RE STILL IN FUCKING BUSINESS I’M IN TEARS
Goodbye Kouraku. I’m sad to see so many longtime japanese family businesses in Little Tokyo close down. It sucks to see small businesses in general close down, but in a historical neighborhood like this, it especially hurts. At least we managed to visit once before it happened.

Humble but extremely tense request for email notifications for social media chat messages by default. Opening these apps/sites ''just'' to check messages is like ''just'' trying to approach a black hole, thinking you won't be sucked in and obliterated. I'm looking at especially you, Bluesky 👁️

I FEEL UNSTOPPABLEEE I had enough with Apple not playing nice with Todoist, so I made a Shortcut that auto-imports my Reminders inbox whenever I open Todoist.
Shortcuts’s native Todoist integration is ass so I had to figure out the API directly. Used Quick Look to troubleshoot.

I made handmade Christmas notebooks using a risograph printer I'd never touched before. Broke the paper cutter, wasted masters, got crooked staples. Learned a lot!
Still better than wearing my poor wristbones down knitting 11th hour sweaters 🫠

Currently reading: Familiaris by David Wroblewski 📚
Inlaws recommended this one, promising a slow but rewarding read. I think it might be a big adjustment to wade into a slow book after such a fast-paced trilogy, but I wanna give this a try.
