Toronto. People not from there say the second 't' (it's silent for those of us who were born and raised in Toronto)

What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

I really do think that separating the wheat from the chaff is a key and underrated skill as a GIM resident when you're admitting >20 patients a night. With that comes learning to concisely communicate key details about each case as you become more senior.

Paul was the first preceptor I had on GIM who let me cut to the chase when we'd review cases, i.e. summarize the case in 5 lines and give a few lines about each key issue as opposed to reading out the full consult note.

The thing with road safety is that "getting under people's craws" is neither here nor there. Speed limits are there for safety and should be followed. This is not complicated

Burnside's point is that maybe the 40 km/h speed limit on Avenue Rd and other streets is too low. Getting a ticket for "going 50 or 51 on Avenue Road that's six lanes wide, seems to be the kind of thing that would get under people's craws," he says.

Gray points out there are schools on Avenue Road.

30 beluga whales are the last captive whales in Canada following the 2019 law banning new cetacean captivity. Advocacy groups are calling for Marineland to be shut down and the animals relocated to sanctuaries rather than being transferred to another facility. #WetTribe #WhaleWednesday
Beluga whales swim in a tank at Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario

Ontario has been a perpetrator of animal cruelty via Marineland for years where belugas have been dropping like flies from living in squalor, and now they are playing this card. Unbelievable

Be prepared for non stop autumn themed photos from me for the next 31 days. Still thinking about this random pumpkin patch in Chatham and best believe that whenever someone commented on the warty pumpkins I explained that they had mosaic viruses to thank (I'm disgustingly educated on this topic)

Today is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day honours and remembers the children who were forced into Canada's Residential School system.
It was first observed as Orange Shirt Day in 2013 and was elevated to a statutory holidy for federal workers in 2021.
