I heard somewhere that they take a caravan to the motherland.

Be right back, just adding "Sponges do not have mouths, instead having tiny pores called ostia, and therefore Spongebob would be unable to laugh or talk" to the errors section of spongebob.fandom.com/wiki/Encyclo...

Seema like a way to guarantee conformance at an early age. Make sure what you write matches the pattern of what everyone else has written before you to tick that AI top grade checkbox.

The one time I went to the greyhound racing track we did try betting on whichever dog had a shit beforehand on the basis they'd be lighter (and so faster!)

I know that everything is supposed to be a fit subject for comedy but come on, leave Paddington alone. Things are bad enough as they are!

Not sure it does tbh? I would go with 'no good deed goes unpunished' if I was sticking a phrase in there.
I would associate shitting on doorsteps as not committing crimes where you live rather than being nice.

Pretty much any place-name near where I live; Parham, Aldeburgh, Sproughton, Grundisburg.. Been round here 20+ years and I still get some of them wrong.

Another claim to add to the 'I don't think these books say what you think they do' pile along with Elon Musk's love for Douglas Adams.

I'm surprised there isn't anything in the top right. I'd expect neo-liberalism globalists to be pro-immigration as a source of cheap labour.

Missed a trick by not going with "Credible Realistic And Practical plan"

I console myself by remembering there's still a lot of stuff in 'the past of content' that I haven't seen yet.

Petition for a tentacle eyeball spinoff along the lines of Quantum Leap starts here. #AlienEarth #NextLeapWillBeTheLeapHome
Picture of an eyeball with octopus like tentacles just waiting to leap into a new host.

Now we're going to name and shame people sentenced to community work too and publish photographs of them? Too woosy to go full Cersai walk of shame #Labour ?

Oh, one more as it's a biggie. As with all these things, it's not do you trust THIS government with your data, do you trust all subsequent governments? bsky.app/profile/amca...

Nigel Farage, however, is already talking about revoking the rights of people who have lived here legally for years. Imagine a Farage-led government with the ability to control the movement, identities and rights of citizens and legal residents of our country. 11/

“I am a Liberal, and I am against this sort of thing.”

Liberal activist Harry Willcock spoke these words upon being stopped by a policeman 75 years ago. He was the last person in this country to be prosecuted for refusing to produce an identity card when demanded to do so by the authorities. 2/

We're in a cost of living crisis and Labour wants to bring in digital ID cards for everyone.

They're risking turning the UK into a pre-crime state where we constantly have to prove who we are just to go about our daily lives.

I could keep going. It's a stupid idea which solves nothing, costs a fortune and puts all our security, privacy and civil rights at risk.
(Incidentally, if you agree you could do worse than support @openrightsgroup.org . We've seen this off before and can do again)

Fourthly, what about the 1.7 million people over the age of 74 who do not use the Internet. How are they going to interact with the system?

...and do you also trust the police not to abuse the existence of that database in arresting protestor at legal demonstrations?
alanbrookland.bsky.social
Thirdly, do you really trust the government to maintain the security of a massive database of the personal details of every UK resident?
