I know you like to nerd out on the data and throwing it into the box is on the rise, but are there any data trends on how defenses are countering this?

Are GKs getting more aggressive in claiming those balls?

I like Thomas between the sticks but he’s turned the ball over quite a bit in possession.

Might seem small, but the sounders most repeatable chance-creating-patterns-of-play often come by creating fast breaks from a deep, line breaking pass.

San Diego has been excellent at that too all season.

Oh, that sounds like a depth guy to me. My frustration is the lack of an attacker that can raise the ceiling for the whole team.

I’m picturing a Raul Jimenez or Lukaku-type that’s past their prime but has the quality and gravity that creates more space and opportunity for everyone.

I think the beauty of the depth is what makes the lack of flash so frustrating. The knock on the league has always been how difficult it is to build depth with these roster rules.

The FO has done the hard part, but it’s failed to make any flashy signings that even the worst run teams can pull off.
