Trying to start my morning/week asking myself at every step: does this have to be done now?

If not now, when should I return to this?

My brain apparently operates on a now/not now principle. When I try to do everything now... I end up either overwhelmed or not focusing on the right things 🤷‍♂️

These American Goldfinches spent the whole day in the tops of my back yard Birch trees. There's only a few million seeds to feed from so maybe they'll spend a lot of the winter here.

I love that a "moonmoon" is a thing that exists 🥰

When it feels like the world is a drab and dark place, just remember there are moonmoons out there

Between this and the downright offensive "journalism" they've been posting about Mamdani, it's like they're *trying* to alienate their most loyal readers

Hey @nytimes.com - your FIRST readers are New Yorkers!

Enrage us at your own peril

What happened, @nytimes.com? Why not stand by your original headline? Because it’s absolutely an accurate representation of this trash conversation.

To publish this at all should be a fireable offense - but to publish it as women’s rights are being decimated is deeply immoral, bordering on evil

Want to be a "first reader" for a small but mighty scifi/fantasy mag?

Or know someone who might be interested?

And if you wouldn't mind reposting this for wider circulation, I'd truly be grateful...

It was a little different last week.

Out of curiosity, I looked into whether Threads was worth checking out (and having in addition to BlueSky)

In short: no

Threads is where brands and celebrities go to preen and sell sh!t and where "regular people" mindlessly scroll with minimal engagement

Count me out
