A key factor here is that I don't own a car, so fun trips are also going to be on transit. I wonder if there's a similar pattern with who's BARTing on weekends.
alfredtwu.com
My own experience has been, I go to the office 3 days a week instead of the 4 I did pre-2020.

However I still BART to SF 4 days, as time saved from less commuting means more time to go out.

I think this is the way forward for many cities & transit agencies: being a destination for non-work trips.

October is Filipino American History Month!

#FAHM commemorates the first recorded presence of Filipinos in the US, which occurred on October 18, 1587, when “Luzones Indios” came ashore from the Spanish galleon Nuestra Senora de Esperanza and landed at what is now Morro Bay, CA.

It could happen - the US used to have three model building codes (North, South, West each had their own), they all got merged together in the 1990s.

In that merger the result was to allow more things - in general if something had been allowed under one of the three codes, it became OK nationally.

Two tenant rights bills also remain pending, SB 655 (starts process for maximum indoor temperature/ right to cooling) and AB 1414 (right to opt out of a third party internet service) - ask the Governor to sign these also

My spiciest take on the Highway 37 bridge is that while most political will for it has been coming from Solano, it's Marin that needs it and should pay for it. Of 189,000 workers living in Solano, only 8,000 go to Marin or Sonoma.

It'd cost a whole lot less than $11B to attract new jobs to Solano.
map of commute patterns, showing 109,059 workers who live and work in solano, plus 75,812 workers who commute out, to the following counties

Contra Costa 19504
Napa 11850
Alameda 10315
San Francisco 8974
Sacramento 5287
Marin 5272
Yolo 5087
Sonoma 3780
