I think that consumers still have substantial power (see Disney).
Most of the oligarchs lead publicly held companies and most of the cash they have is leveraged vs. their company shares. For example, Musk makes a substantial effort to control the Tesla narrative as their earnings keep tanking.

People are being disappeared, detained, and deported by ICE & other federal agents. Neither have said a thing, nor lifted a finger the last two weeks. It's just my opinion that they always roll on the most important issues when they have an opportunity to make a difference.

Appreciate the paragraph taking on what a failed political strategy it is to abandon the most vulnerable. The 2024 presidential race wasn't won by voters switching parties, it was won by the party getting its base out to participate in the election. (15% of 2020 D voters did not participate in 2024)
