they love to act like the civil rights movement was centuries ago but we’re literally living in the same era as civil rights icons. my grandfather was at selma, he was friends w rev c.t. vivian. my aunt was 12 when the 16th st baptist church bombing happened. my uncle was at emmett till’s funeral.
