I had Elaine Paige (gag about her hit “I blow him so well”) in London. Going again in Woking later this month.

I saw him locally in 1996. Although the two headline stars are great I had seen them before so Norm was my primary reason to attend despite his woefully small credit (should have been ‘and’ in a box).

He was on 5 editions of Celebrity Squares in 1975 too, having appeared in numerous of the original Hollywood Squares.

If you remember next Monday there’s equal disappointment - due to football they’ve moved all of BBC2 and BBC4’s quizzes to Tuesday.

Anyone know what was being filmed in Pall Mall today? Lots of barriers and a few crowd staff and these military vehicles in evidence.

I recently rewatched Nothing But The Best which features an uncredited (pre-George Harrison) Pattie Boyd prominently placed in one scene.

This is actually interesting but my mind just took an overwhelming diversion in the direction of “Gateway to the South”.

I didn't. But Brucie was there. His ashes are interred under the stage.

Today I spent the afternoon in the London Palladium and now I'm in the Royal Albert Hall. Only the best venues will do.

I went to church a couple of days ago to see Annie Lennox. Praise be to the book tour.

“I was lying in bed the other night when I heard tap, tap, tap at the bloody window pane. I looked out - you know who it was? Bloody Amelia Earhart.”

So glad I got to see him in the 1989 revival of Stop the World - I Want to Get Off.
Years later I noticed in the programme that the revolving children in the cast included Martine McCutcheon and Denise Van Outen “before they were famous”.
