Previously, Knighton Mayor Councillor Tom Taylor said there is about a three foot gap from the edge of a building and if someone fell down there they would be down there until someone found them.

I’ve heard a lot of councils wake up to how much they’re paying in allotment water bills on direct let sites in past couple of years. This is just the start of a clamp down imho.

This is a REALLY good analysis, thank you 🙂
Also local water-use culture, eg in my area water is from Kielder Reservoir created in the 70s with a message that we might lose a lot of land to make a reservoir but thereafter we could use as much water as we liked as there’d be so much of it. Bonkers.

Here’s more I’ve heard. Councils that didn’t know they’d paid a £10K+ pa water bill for years. Associations charged for sewerage. Taps left running out of spite (by whoever towards whoever). People with health issues denied use of a hosepipe.
Water Co granting use of hoses, u-turn next day. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Sampling will also be undertaken at locations considered to be at "lower risk". These are intended to help validate earlier results, including locations to the south, west and north-west of the facility and Sandringham Avenue allotments.
