I’ve got a podcast! When I watched the nuclear war film Threads at the age of 11 it terrified me and changed my life forever.

I started the pod to speak to other people whose lives have been changed by Threads, from cast and crew members, to extras, broadcasters, authors and super fans. Out now!

My #Beckham story. I’ve done three one-to-one interviews with him. I’d love to say he was really different and wild. I’d love to charm you with indiscreet and indecent stories. But he was exactly as you see him on TV. What a funny story!

A short play - 90 mins top
Matinee, always matinee
Dr Pepper to sip
No interval
Near as possible to home

When a pet dies, grief doesn’t arrive alone. It brings with it an awkward entourage: embarrassment, self-consciousness, the creeping suspicion that our sorrow might look disproportionate or self indulgent.

It's time to take pet grief seriously
Pets, particularly dogs, also occupy an enormous physical space. They are there when we wake, there when we return home.

My next article is about why losing a pet can be harder than losing a human.

A ban on animal testing is long overdue
Last year alone in Britain there were 2.64 million animal tests in Britain. it's a statistic that shames Britain

We're back! Season 2 Episode 1 is here...
And we discuss superb songs by REM, The Pasadenas, Al Stewart, Elli et Jacno, and Jane & Jeff Hudson.

Oh, and a field trip of the charity shops of Wanstead to investigate the rumours of an REM reunion. Seriously.
