Looks delicious!
Beervent Day 6: Darker

Succession + paranormal horror = FIEND, a deliciously sharp novel by the excellent @almakatsu.bsky.social, one of the best working today in *many* genres.

Pair with mystery beer 6, Founders Porter, one of my favorites in the style.

Getting to the bottom of revisions for INCARNATE. It's more mental adjustment than heavy lifting. That means ferreting out all the places were a tiny adjustment is needed. Now looking at the very end to see if the resolution still works.

Watched SALTBURN last night at urging of @sadiehartmann.bsky.social. I know, what took me so long? The most interesting part to me is that it's a 21st century retelling of Brideshead Revisited. Now, I was besotted w/the TV series when it came out in 1981. Completely besotted...

Someone really knows the story
Ain’t no party like a Donner party cause a Donner party don’t stop til most of them are dead and the most hated cannibalistic survivor ends up opening a hotel and restaurant in Sacramento because I guess he really knows how to cook meat.
Donner sure knew how to party.

"Zoom Revenue Accelerator" is a real thing: yet another unintended use of a transformative technology
Do you know Zoom & other companies are encouraging discrimination against employees for things like "pausing too long" or not sounding sufficiently "charismatic"? Read all about our dystopian present in my new paper, out today in JASA!
