No offense but I think we underestimate how many of our current problems, both cultural and political, are downstream of the decline in reading, the decline in learning and the loss of interest in the humanities.

That's 100% the reason for all the push-back with "The Acolyte." These dudes just want directors and showrunners to play with the toys, because that's as far as they go with the IP. Leslye Headland KNEW "Star Wars." She knew the lore. She was able to interpret the lore, subvert the lore. SHE GOT IT!

Had an ugly cry this morning while playing the gorgeous little indie game ‘再见 Once Again’. The entire narrative is about how fleeting our existence is and the importance of learning how to say goodbye, something I’ve had to do a lot this year. It hit hard in a way I didn’t know I needed.

クィアの物語を一般誌で売るのはかなり大変だと思います。分厚い壁が何枚もあり、この作品がアニメ化までしてもらえたのは奇跡的です。色んな人の大変な尽力と、マイノリティの物語だからといって低く見積ったり限界を決めたりせずに応援してくれた読者さんたちのおかげだと思います。
