The Christmas holidays draw ever closer! Even after the new year break, I have 11 days of leave to use - that's four work weeks off! As I'll be leaving 20th March, that means I actually only have two months or eight weeks left at the charity. Crazy thought! Also sobering.

Been to the work Christmas lunch. Brilliant food (Greene King excelled - sprouts were to die for and the nicest Christmas pudding I've ever had) and lovely company. I had one large glass of Merlot (cause I'm worth it) and have arrived home with all my clothes on.

At the community centre today. I like being there. I think I'd be a good caretaker. Enjoy making sure everything is ready and nice for when people come in.

Community work today. Spent the morning at the heart of local life in a 1,000 year old church, sharing coffee and cake and celebrating people. Was good!
Some tensions with a colleague at work. Biting my tongue for now but feels like bullying behaviour.
Had flu jab.

Went in to work today to prepare for the board meeting, and then it was cancelled. Meant I could come home, but still got to have the meeting another evening.

Some work stuff burst my festive bubble, so decided to come home and deal with that. Not felt very well since getting home - been freezing cold and feeling nauseous. Got into bed with all my clothes on to warm up. Had some toast so I've eaten something. Tired of this.

Good morning! Happy Monday! After a very long night, I've already cleaned the gutters (transplanting the grass and moss to the bare patches by the patio), weeded the patio, washed the seagulls blessings off the caravan and I'm now having tea and toast watching The Expert. Yes - a Happy Monday indeed

Good morning! Happy Monday! What a nice day! I do feel like I'm on holiday. Just done things I wanted to. Legs and back are rather achy this evening. Pain is spreading to left side lower back now. Always been the right til now.
Chinese takeaway for tea. It's traditional for the first Sunday of Advent

Gawd I've walked my little legs off! Had a nice walk beside the sea, breakfast at the cafe and walked to town and back. Shopping mission accomplished. I now have complete candelabra!

Had a better night of sleep, but woke up at 5am feeling a bit adrift and down. Decided to get up at 7am and take myself off to Suffolk for a few days. It was the right decision. Had a lovely day at the caravan, despite the cold and rain. Decorated for Christmas. Relaxed.
