Workaholic urbanist with a full time volunteer gig in Girl Guides. Sometimes a (bad) runner. Top 1% of car hatred and Taylor Swift listeners.
I think it’s time for a Doctor Who rewatch and to finally view all the post-Capaldi content, after I am once again devastated by River Song.

I give the Edmonds coffee vending machine robot a solid 8/10 stars. I was not yet willing to try the fresh orange juice machine.

Still in favour of more real coffee shops in skytrain stations.

Why are you allowed to legal turn left in so many places downtown still? Why does anyone think driving is enjoyable? Get me back on transit. (I have an immensely heavy box to bring in or I would never be in this Evo)

I live in ground-oriented housing now and please, put the scooters in front of my house. Put a Mobi station. Put a Modo.

Put anything but absolutely free parking and unmonitored parking. There aren’t even permits yet in my new neighbourhood - please add micro-mobility or car sharing, please!

Again I am dying not to drive. I don’t want to drive. If you make spaces for all it gets people like me off the roads and less traffic for the people that want to drive.
Here’s something that’s really important for everyone to understand.

If we design our cities just for cars, they fail everyone, including drivers.

If we design our cities with many great CHOICES in how to get around, they work better for everyone, including drivers.

Spread the word.

We mock the iPhone sock but I still have 4 of the 5 socks from my old iPod and I use them all the time. Square reader? Sock. Portable phone charger? Sock. MacBook remote? Sock.

Now that I own a deep freeze, I need someone to overnight me from Edmonton a cooler of frozen Remedy Cafe dahl immediately please. It’s the only one I want, nothing else hits quite right.

This public hearing does not make me think any differently about public hearings - they are still a horrible format where people can hijack them and council isn’t even paying attention, even when I agree with the speakers for once.

As a person who owns property, please absolutely raise the property taxes and please push back against astronomical and unnecessary in every way police budget increases.

Thank you.

I’ve got so many whelms that I can’t even begin to manage them, so I’m just tucked in bed rewatching Ted Lasso, once again.

The project timelines are already abysmal, may as well make them worse.

I’ve waited almost 12 months now for comments on a pre-application in Coquitlam. A pre-application.

Can you tell I am tired of the red tape of my job on all ends?
Sources at the city tell CTV News that cuts to positions that review development permits, bylaws and rezoning applications could impact project timelines.

Ya no wonder our stock price is plummeting, you fired everyone that allows us to do our jobs locally, moved them to useless overseas labour that doesn’t even work a single overlapping hour with me, and expect me to do 20x the project administration.

Kick rocks.

I hate this fucking place.
Some breaking news: in a special Vancouver Police Board meeting only announced over the weekend, the police board has requested a $50 million increase to their budget for 2026.

This comes as other departments across the city are trying to cut staff to ensure a property tax freeze for next year.

I know I choose to take this Hastings bound bus, but I could do without the man yelling misogynistic things violently to start my day.

"why is everything a trunk or treat now. nobody trick or treats anymore"

maybe it's the giant useless trucks that seem to intentionally limit the vision of the drivers allowing them to mow over pedestrians.

The Halloween Evo voice was deeply jarring and unexpected this morning. Fun, but one of those routine things you tune out until it’s suddenly a vampire.

Nothing is more indicative of why I don’t have any faith in society, nor that people are generally in any way aware of the impact of their actions on others, than people listening to things on their phone on public transit WITHOUT HEADPHONES.

The number of empty store fronts and on pause tower developments is sure screaming end of the bubble to me.

May we pivot to cool artist spaces like Seattle is doing soon.

I cannot wait until the 99 is a train, 15 years too late. The amount of sitting stuck in traffic these buses do while stuffed like sardine cans is wild.

The Traders Joe cashier gave me the cute purple Halloween tote for free, best day ever.

Had to promise my boyfriend I would go donate the excessive pile of tote bags we accumulated from all the corners of our homes when we were moving in together. Fair trade.

Now this is how you title a fundraising email, @movementyvr.bsky.social

Go donate to Movement to spite Bob Mackin’s insufferable claims that young caring people who can barely afford to live in this region are really just developer shills rolling in pools of gold coins.

Did you know Waterfront just keeps the keychains in stock now without giant lineups? This is the best day.
