Today is National Coming Out Day

Started in 1988 by Rob Eichberg and Jean O'Leary in celebration of the second March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights on Oct. 11, 1987.

National Coming Out Day continues to promote a safe world for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals to live openly.

During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door.   It wasn’t the feds — it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.
