An announcement that art commissions are open! Color pieces are $150 for half body, $200 for full body. They are fully colored and shaded digital illustrations. Ink pieces are $75 for half body, $100 for full body. They are black and white digital illustrations with hatching and screen tone shading. More information about commissions. Additional characters are $25 each. A simple background is included with the piece. Full environment or scene backgrounds start at an additional $50, with the price increasing based on complexity. I may turn down any commission for any reason. I will draw nonhumans (furry/anthro, monster, alien, etc.) and TTRPG characters. I may draw gore/body horror, NSFW/suggestive, and mecha/robots, but please ask first in your email request. I will not draw fanart or fan characters. Guidelines for commissions. Email amaranthmorn@gmail.com with the commission type, a clear description of what you want, and any helpful image references! Pay via Paypal. I will invoice you for half before I start work and half after I finish the illustration but before delivery of the full piece. No refunds. Minor revisions are $5, but the first 3 are free. Significant revisions are $25 each. Revisions during the sketch stage are free. Artwork is for personal use only. It is not to be used for commercial purposes, political purposes, or training generative AI.

Additionally, it appears that all of EPA's previously extensive "indicators of climate change" pages have been scrubbed entirely. The pages no longer exist; there are numerous dead links on the current/live EPA site, and no indication they have been moved to a new URL.

THIS. Frustration tolerance is the key to getting good at anything at all, not just art. Socials media makes it so easy to compare yourself to others, but you just have to ignore that and have fun with your little drawings. Do it enough and you'll eventually get better through trial and error.

The Tsuchinoko is a Japanese yōkai that looks like a short, fat snake. Considered folklore by most, some claim to have really seen it.
In the 1900s, the Yamaoka family was said to not only meet, but befriend a Tsuchinoko. They called it Anpan, and fed it fruit and sake when it visited.

This may be the first photograph of the mysterious Okka. In Japan it is known as a yōkai, with only a few old scrolls alluding to it.
The reason for its elusiveness is the deadly poison it sprays around it. Those who have been close enough to see it, such as this photographer, have quickly perished.

I think it would be fun if writers who love language started intentionally writing more strangely as AI flattens written "content" into a mono-voice. it would cool I think if writers responded by focusing their individual efforts on cultivating a really unique voice that's hard to copy

i love that the main colors of the main characters of knights of guinevere are the secondary colors. orange, green, and purple. with its commentary on disney, it's a great contrast to the primary colors featured in the palettes of disney's first princess and many of its major characters.
