It’s surgery day. Doctor tells me to curl up like a shrimp and face my back to him so that he can inject the anesthesia. I’m extremely nervous and tense, but it ended before I realized it. It didn’t hurt at all

Panel 1: Doc tells me it’s partial anesthesia. I thought and hoped I’d be knocked out?!
Panel 2: Grandma tells me she got the same thing when she had appendicitis surgery.
Panel 3: She tells me it’s a massive needle injected into your spine and that it’s extremely painful. The doctor and nurse chuckle and agree.
Panel 4: I have a ton of nightmares about needles that night.

our server at this restaurant just so happened to be one of our customers so he treated us so well, a little too well tbh he kept showering us with free food and dessert 😭 we asked for takeout boxes and he came back with an extra box full of bread and tried to give each of us a free drink to go
