I’m a fan of the flat whites at Trafiq. Maybe the cappuccinos would be nice too? Just a bit south of Main and 26th ☕️

So sad to hear of the passing of Hal Wake. I met him through the Vancouver Writer’s Festival where he was Artistic Director, and he was just the kindest man. Made me feel important as a writer, sure, but even as an audience member. Absolute master of hugs. Sigh. Rest well, Hal.

I fear I haven’t been on my holiday movie game this year, but I admit to enjoying Merry Little Ex-Mas! Also enjoyed Oh What Fun with Michy Pfeiffs and Jack Black’s Satan movie. I’m back home now and will look for Haul out the Holly! Hope you had a lovely holiday with your fam, Hanna!

I know hockey is a business but Quinn Hughes was such a lovely human beyond the ice. He had a poetry anthology on his shelf for the love of god. Of COURSE I’d kill for this kid. So until these news guys arrive with laser focus and, I dunno, fucking Rupi Kaur collections, I will remain inconsolable.
