By all accounts, the Switch 2 is of a similar power level to the Series S, which is very much a current gen console; it can run any game the Series X can, albeit at lower settings and/or framerate. So it shouldn't be a surprise to see current gen games running well on the Switch 2. And yet!

Before I can play any modern PC game, I must compile shaders for twenty minutes while my GPU fans spin with enough force to lift my PC off the ground. And I must do this again if my GPU drivers update. Or if the game updates. Or if Windows updates. Or sometimes just for fun cause it's been a while

Comparatively minor issue next to all the AI chip bullshit you're describing, but I likewise can't get over the fact that Microsoft are mandating new Windows keyboards have an AI button. People're gonna look at that button in twenty years the same way we look at the Pause and Scroll Lock buttons now
