1-2 River of Snakes:

until the titular snakes show up a staggering 14 minutes in, this one is mostly just an action-void "here's why these characters actually like each other episode". not nearly as exciting for me as the first one, but the underwater fight against the snakes was still a blast.

honestly the lack of dialogue is such a defining part of the series IMO that you probably still have a pretty decent grasp on it haha

1-1 Spear and Fang :

for a show that will prove itself to be occasionally obscenely comfortable with slowing down the pace, it's kind of shocking how quick the series starts. almost every other show with this type of inciting incident would give us a moment with the family alive - but not Primal.
