The interactive RP of Mystid Haven aims to be more slice-of-life & hijinks with some adventure.
Keep in mind the OCs aren't real and do not necessarily reflect the views for the Scribes running them.
That said they will be RPed to behave like people as realistically as possible.

If I were to crowd fund a project (like my comic for example) what sort of perks would be cool to see? I am really bad at thinking of cool perks for donors 🤔 it's one of the things that holds me back from going for it, so thought I'd ask for opinions 🖤🥰

(Enjoy some older art as thanks in advance)

"They appear in ones, then twos then threes
From deepened shadows, and silent grace
Their eyes pierce the darkness through the trees
They watch, and guard this ancient place"

One of my few digitally painted pieces! (it's old lol).

It's not uncommon for trauma survivors to struggle w/ decisions so small we feel ashamed to admit we struggle w/ them-- but that's what a history of having been gaslit or belittled does to our nervous system. Questions of what to wear or where to eat evoke paralysis years later.

There is zero shame in not understanding what we were experiencing wasn't normal, or that we needed specific support, until late in life. We didn't know what we didn't know-- & there were often people in our life actively trying to gaslight us & normalize what we were enduring.

You do not have to understand everything-- or anything, really-- about trauma or recovery to treat yourself .01% more compassionately & respectfully today.

That's where sustainable recovery starts: how we relate to ourselves. Doing & saying the opposite of what was done to us.

This is a reminder that dissociation is not about "fear." Trauma survivors, as a group, are the LEAST "fearful" people you're ever going to meet.

Dissociation is a reflexive, conditioned variety of a normal, protective, adaptive mind/body response. It's not a "fear" response.

If growing up you were treated like an annoyance or an afterthought by the people who were supposed to support & love you the most, you're going to be particularly vulnerable to love bombing now.

That's not you being naive'; that's just an injury that requires attention & care.

One of the most helpful things you can consistently do for a loved one working their trauma recovery is remind them you're happy to clarify anything or reassure them-- that you understand survivors' need for clarity or certainty isn't a "choice," but an itch they can't ignore.

Well, if you find yourself in a pinch again with it, at least you know there's a PC workaround/alternative.
Sry, I use MuMu Player 12 specifically, but their Nebula version is built for older PCs.
It's not good for combat stuff(at least manual combat, if you're doing auto it's fine), but good for viewing story stuff.

Once upon a time, I had a friend who got very upset with me for getting invested in a thing they liked. I'm long past it by this point but on occasion I think about it and it confuses me all over again.

a DnD character starts as a concept and then through The Trials becomes a person
Since they do give the option to uninstall some things in the Manage Resources of your in-game Profile for when you're done with going through the stories of the different memories and stuff.
Do you have a desktop or laptop with plenty of space?
If so, there's emulators for mobile devices(I find MuMu, which does have a version made for older tech).
You could use that for non-combat stuff(that accounts for the bulk of the space), and unload the "excess" resources on your tablet.

A hard part of recovery for me was replacing "control" in my vocabulary w/ "influence." Accepting that we "control" almost nothing is hard for survivors who felt powerless growing up-- but that pivot to creating realistic INFLUENCE over our feelings & behavior really matters.

Maybe you're not exhausted because you're "lazy." Maybe you're exhausted because your nervous system's been on high alert for years, without the option of slowing it down or turning it off.

Trauma symptoms are not "character" issues or "personality" traits.

Many trauma survivors have been conditioned to avoid confrontation at all costs-- but, as we work our recovery, develop our assertiveness skills, & de-pathologize our "fight" response, we find ourselves unexpectedly open to standing up in situations we would NEVER have before.

Many trauma survivors pride ourselves on being particularly independent, & we are-- but scratch the surface, & that independence often comes w/ a side order of fear & resentment that we can't depend on others & had to figure things out growing up we should have had support with.
