Brilliant!
This Xmas I have asked for books from my friends.

Books they have read & loved and need to live with me for a few months.?

As I read each one I will bake a cake - we will talk about the book and it will go home to its original keeper.

I get to read, I get to know my friends better - and CAKE!!

I believe it is important to let our imperfections be.

They are precious,
for they help us understand
those who see us with the heart.

More fresh hell brought to us by AI.
You can get ChatGPT to help you build a nuclear bomb if you simply design the prompt in the form of a poem, according to a new study from researchers in Europe. www.wired.com/story/poems-...
Poems Can Trick AI Into Helping You Make a Nuclear Weapon
It turns out all the guardrails in the world won’t protect a chatbot from meter and rhyme.

“Based on the available evidence, the skills that future graduates will most need in the AI era—creative thinking, the capacity to learn new things, flexible modes of analysis—are precisely those that are likely to be eroded by inserting AI into the educational process.”
“When you allow a machine to summarize your reading, to generate the ideas for your essay, and then to write that essay, you’re not learning how to read, think, or write.“

Some day there will be no war,
Then I shall take out this afternoon And turn it in my fingers,
.
.
To-day I can only gather it
And put it into my lunch-box,
For I have time for nothing
But the endeavour to balance myself Upon a broken world.

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.
I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.
